How does the lower port of the SH-200 work?

This is a great troubleshooting tool. The lower connector or "test" connector tests the coax from the meter to the receiver.

Use the meter at the dish. Dis-connect the coax from the LNBF and connect it to the lower connector of the meter. Power your receiver on. If the "Test" light is on, it means the coax from the dish to the receiver is in good shape. If the "Test" light is off, it means there is a problem with the coax, connectors, etc. Check the coax and connectors before you proceed.

May Satellite / Transponder Lists Released!!!

We have been super busy but we did take time to get the May Satellite/Transponder lists out.

If you need to know a satellite position or how many live transponders are available or if you need the parameters of a transponder (or several transponders), this list is for you.

We assemble this list in the proper format for the First Strike Meters and in the proper format for the Sathero meters.  Lists are delivered in pdf format and are well over 100 pages.

Registered users of our First Strike or Sathero meters can request a list at any time.

Hello everyone.
Since I've been asked these questions about the Sathero SH-200 meter several times, I thought I might send a email with the recent questions and answers.  I've also posted these to our Support Page.

Does the SH-200 come with a CD?
The very old SH-200 did come with a CD. We stopped sending CD's with the meter more than a year ago. You can now get 'up to date' information from our website. Any SH-200 coming with a CD should be a very old one.
Is there a 2012 model like some people claim?
The model has not changed, however the operating software has been revised to include the LCD brightness adjustment and some minor improvements. This is what some sellers say is the 2012 model. You can upgrade any older SH-200's to this new operating software. The software is available free of charge to registered owners of our meters.

You are always welcome to contact us with any questions you may have.

Thanks for using our meters.

Satellite / Transponder Lists on the go!!!

Have you ever been out on a install and needed to know the parameters of a transponder?

I guess that's happened to just about every FTA installer at one time or another.  If you are a registered owner of our First Strike or Sathero meters, you can request a current satellite/transponder list.  However the list is extensive and usually has about 139 pages.  So what do you do?  Print it out?  Take it with you up on a roof in the wind with a meter in one hand and the list in the other hand.
Even less convenient is to carry your laptop with you.  Now you just need to contend with boot up time, battery charges, and protecting your laptop in your service truck.  What else can you do?
